Structural Biology of Molecular Machines
Dynein, and Kinesin-1 Associate with RanBP2 and Regulate Centrosome and Nuclear Positioning during Mitotic Entry
7 weeks internship:
- bacterial expression and purification of RanBP2
- AKTAmicro system protein purification (size-exclusion chromatography)
- screening and optimization of wild-type RanBP2 crystallization conditions
Extra agenda (depending on the progress):
- crystallization of phosphorylated RanBP2 variant
- preparation of wild-type RanBP2 with seleno-methionine, for experimental phasing
- high-resolution data collection and processing
